  • The Guide Hut Bury Lane, Lowndes Park, Chesham HP5 1HL (map)

We are delighted to welcome you to our first all night Gong Puja in honour of the AUTUMN EQUINOX which occurs on Thursday 22 September. This event will take place on Saturday 24th September from 8:30pm when the doors open…the Puja itself will be from 10pm-6am…we will finish by 9am on Sunday 25th September…please see timings below for more detailed information. We will be holding this event at The Guide Hut in Lowndes Park, Bury Lane, Chesham.

The Guide Hut is situated in the beautiful surrounds of Lowndes Park, we are right in the heart of the Chilterns in Chesham, with lots of lovely walks in the surrounding areas if you want to spend some time exploring. We are also conveniently located at the end of the Metropolitan Line, making it accessible for those of you who live in London and the surrounding areas to join us.

What is a Gong Puja? The Gong Puja is a celebration and sound meditation, originated by Grand Gongmaster, Don Conreaux in 2000. The Gong Puja experience lasts around 7.5 hours which is the equivalent of 10 x 45 minute Gong Baths. The normal length for a sound journey is 45 minutes.

You will be immersed in the sound waves of the gongs, and as these vibrations wash over you they give space and opportunity to release tensions and blocks, and induce a deep state of relaxation, emerging feeling re-energised. The harmony created by the gong tones brings about an inner stillness where deep healing can occur.

The gongs will be played by different gong players throughout the night and early morning whilst guests sleep/meditate bathed in the healing vibrations of the gongs. A sign-up sheet for players to select their time slots will be available on the night. In the early morning, the gongs will go silent and the Puja will end. Rising in your own time after sunrise, you will have the opportunity to freshen up in preparation for breakfast before returning to the Puja space where the group will review their experiences.

Players: Sam Hyder, Patricia Carlota, and Martyn Hawthorne.

What to bring with you: pillows, cushions, extra padding and blankets to make sure you are comfortable for the night. Please no air beds, as these can cause too much noise.
