Eastbourne: Welcome to the Gong Space - a Gong Bath Workshop

Welcome to the Gong Space

Join us for a 2 hour relaxing workshop and journey into the meditative world of the gong and the gong bath at the lovely seaside studio of Natural Fitness Centre - Eastbourne.

The afternoon will be very relaxing and magical with sound of the gongs and the sound of the sea in the background.

The first part of the workshop will be interactive and participants learn about the sound of the gong, the dynamics of a gong bath, and experience playing the gong.

In the second part of the workshop, participants receive a Gong Bath, a form of Sound Healing where the gong and related intuitive sound tools are played to promote a state of deep relaxation that facilitates meditation, healing, transformation, and general wellbeing.

The term 'bath' signifies being bathed in sound waves (no water involved). During a session, participants are invited to lie down comfortably on a yoga mat, close their eyes, relax, and be immersed in a deep listening and sensing experience as they are cocooned in the sonic vibrational field of a number of Sound Healing instruments (gong, singing bowls, shruti box, shamanic drum, the voice, bells, shakers, rattles, and chimes).

Brighton: Kundalini Yoga and Gong Meditation workshop

We are so grateful to welcome you to this afternoon where Maria’s Kundalini Yoga and Patricia’s Gong Meditation merge to create a unique session. Together they explore Kundalini Yoga (including chanting, movements, breathing and meditation) with a one-hour sound healing meditation in the vibrations of multiple high-quality gongs, singing bowls, voice, a shruti box, and various bells, rattles, shakers, and chimes.

Helping us connect with our body, mind and spirit, Kundalini yoga works with Kundalini energy, Prana, our life energy. It helps us dissolve blockages and imbalances, so our prana can flow freely and we can heal physically and emotionally. Kundalini yoga was for a long time a secret practice, but in 1969 Yogi Bhajan began to teach it openly throughout the world, as he knew what a powerful tool Kundalini yoga is for the challenges of our time.

Creating a nurturing and transformational space, a Gong Meditation is a form of Sound Healing. At its heart is the sound and vibration of the gong, which works as a tool to balance the physical body, mind, emotions, energetic body, and spirit. Known as the sound of total resonance, the sound of the gong gives the body a sonic massage helping to: stimulate circulation, activate the parasympathetic nervous system; slow down brainwaves and connect with meditative states and insights; let go of emotional ‘burdens’; clear energetic debris; and expand awareness.

London: Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Gong Bath Workshop

London: Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Gong Bath Workshop

How to book: Please book via Embody Wellness website here

Realign with your deepest self with Paula Hines and Patricia Carlota - an evening of deep relaxation for both body and mind.

Yin Yoga is a deep, meditative practice that activates the parasympathetic nervous system (calming the body's fight/flight response). Physically the focus is on moving deeper into the connective tissues of the body (ligaments, tendons and fascia – the cling-film-like ‘tissue’ which holds our muscles together) in areas such as the hips and spine and typically involves holding poses for three to five minutes. This will prepare the body for a calming Yoga Nidra ('yogic sleep') practice – a guided meditation that will bring you to the edge of sleep, quietening the mind, reducing tension and promoting deep relaxation – ready for a blissful Gong Bath.

A Gong Bath is a form of Sound Healing where the Gong and other related instruments are played to induce wellbeing. The term 'bath' signifies being bathed in sound waves. Participants are invited to lie down comfortably on a yoga mat, close their eyes, relax and be cocooned in a sonic immersion. The practice provides a space to re-generate, re-nourish, and re-set your whole being - mind, body, emotions, soul, and energy field.

Please note – This workshop is not recommended for pregnant students. Please contact the studio if you:

  • suffer from a sound sensitive condition, epilepsy or are undergoing a major treatment.
  • have a pacemaker.
  • have any particular need and not sure if the sessions are suitable for you.

Any questions please contact me  (07825166474 / welcome@sonicsoul.uk)

A Weekend of Yoga & Hiking & Sound in Waterfall Country

Immerse Yourself in Nature, Yoga & Sound

Dates: Friday 1 September – Sunday 3 September

For more info and to book please go to: http://pureyogazone.com/yoga-hiking-retreat-brecon-beacons-wales/

We are very excited to be offering this weekend away full of yoga, hiking in the glorious Brecon Beacons and evening gong sessions to complete your total relaxation.

Buckland Hall is usually reserved for conferences and larger events but every once in a while we have access to book in to this exclusive manor house that feels more like a home than a hotel. Though it’s only a few hours away from London, you’ll feel like you’ve arrived in a completely different world, with sweeping views of green expanse for as far as the eye can see.

The weekend includes two nights at the grand country mansion of Buckland Hall, dynamic flow classes on Saturday and Sunday morning, relaxing classes on Friday and Saturday evenings, gong baths to open and close the weekend, full organic vegetarian catering from the fantastic chef and a guided tour of the Four Falls walk – one of the most highly rated hikes in Wales where you can

Weekend Description

Buckland Hall is an enchanting 4 star country mansion set in the depths of the rural Brecon Beacons mountains, with 62 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and woodland to explore that include a stretch of the river Usk. Indulge yourself with vegetarian and organic food catered for by their chef, consisting of breakfasts, dinners, packed lunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday. To ensure you truly relax and revitalise we’ll have energetic morning yoga on Saturday and Sunday and relaxing refreshing classes on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. A weekend at Buckland Hall itself is fabulous and it’s a great place to explore, but to make it even more exciting we’ll add in three stunning walks in the Brecon Beacon mountains taking in waterfalls, mountains, caves and more.

ITINERARY:

Friday 01 September

Arrive at Buckland Hall from 5pm. An early yoga class at 6pm for those who have arrived and then we’ll then have dinner there shortly afterwards before coming together for the opening Gong Bath led by the wonderful Patricia Carlotta.

Saturday 02 September

Morning yoga at 8am followed by a fantastic breakfast of healthy fare including the tastiest overnight oats you’ll find anywhere.

We’ll take packed lunches and head out for the Four Waterfalls walk where we’ll explore the largest cave entrance in Wales. From there we walk along the trail leading to Sgwd Clun-Gwyn (the fall of the white meadow), Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr (which was once used for washing Welsh wool) and Sgwd-yr-Eira (the waterfall of snow) on the River Mellte in the heart of Waterfall Country. The final waterfall, Sgwd-yr-Eira is the most photographed as you can walk behind the curtain of water on a path once used by sheep farmers. The walk itself is just under 4 miles and follows an easy route that is suitable for all levels.

We’ll then head back to Buckland Hall late afternoon for another yoga class followed by dinner and an evening yoga nidra & gong bath. If you’re still awake after that (!) you can spend the rest of the evening curled up near one of the fireplaces.

Sunday 03 September:

We’ll start off at 830am with an invigorating yoga class before breakfast.

After breakfast you’ll have the option of exploring the grounds on your own or a quick hike up a hill that provides an amazing view of the Black Hills.

Lunch is served at Buckland Hall at 1pm, after which we’ll enjoy a final restorative yoga session and closing gong ceremony.

Departure is 3pm.

Accommodation

Buckland Hall is set in the spectacular countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by mountains with vistas along the Usk Valley. From the days of Arthur, through a medieval prince of Wales to Lord Buckland, the site has been home for generations of families and hobbits (Buckland Hall was reportedly the inspiration for J R R Tokien in choosing the childhood home for Frodo Baggins, when the author was in the area). Now its doors welcome you to experience the comfort and therapeutic qualities of this idyllic country mansion.

At Buckland Hall with 60 acres of gardens, parkland and miles of country walks along the River Usk, you’ll find plenty of space in which to roam and unwind. Some of the specimen trees in the arboretum are over 400 years old. The ornamental lake with its graceful swans is a particular haven of tranquility.

All rooms are ensuite and most overlook the gardens and have stunning views of the mountains and river Usk. The bedrooms are decorated simply and tastefully offering a wonderfully relaxing environment. You can reserve a double or twin room or limited availability triple rooms.

Food & Drink

Amazing vegetarian three-course dinners on Friday & Saturday evenings (vegan option available on request)

A full buffet style breakfast on Saturday & Sunday mornings

A packed lunch Saturday afternoon

You’ll need to bring money for the honesty bar should you wish any alcoholic drinks.

Patricia's Gong and Sound Meditations explore the perception of our inner and outer environments through observation, breathing, listening, feeling and sensing before being immersed in the vibrational field and sonic universe of the Gongs and related sound tools. Her aim is to create a sacred space where participants explore the sonic landscape of vibration, connect with essence, heart space and intuition, expand consciousness, and entrain to harmony.

London: Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Gong Bath

How to book: Bookings are made via ReCentre's website here . You can also call the studio (020 7099 0048)

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

You are so welcome to this afternoon where Maria’s Kundalini Yoga and Patricia’s Gong Meditation merge to create a unique session.

About the Facilitators:

Maria Varanpal is a Kundalini Yoga teacher who loves to combine the transforming possibilities of a Yoga of awareness with Sound healing. She wants to create a space where we can be conscious right now and through that welcoming life as a gift with the beautiful diversity of emotions, thoughts, and sensations.

Patricia Carlota is a Gong Practitioner who is passionate about sharing the sound of the Gong and related sound tools.  Her Sound Healing practice specialises in the use of high quality large gongs, singing bowls, the voice, shruti box, shamanic percussion, chimes and bells. She is interred in connecting to intuition and heart space,  exploring perception, and expanding consciousness.

Deep Bliss Day Retreat 2 with gongs, bowls, meditation and yoga

The first Deep Bliss Day Retreat was gorgeous and full to the brim.
I think we're all agreed it's time to get blissed out again so here it is.

The cost is £70 per person, but if you would be so kind as to book before 22nd April (to help with my costs and wotnot) then there will be an early bird (flamingo?) price of £60. To reserve a place, please contact Martyn Cawthorne directly for payment details on 07850 955810 or supergongspa@gmail.com.

Note: there are only 16 places so please book early to avoid disappointment.

OK, for your pleasure, here is a description of the event....

The Deep Bliss Day Retreat is an opportunity for relaxation and self-acceptance..... going deep and rediscovering yourself as you are.... being inspired by your own inner nature.... and sharing in the experience of awesome sound, silence, movement and meditation with others. Oh, and there may be some deep bliss involved ;-)

The players/instructors for the day are Martyn Cawthorne, Szilvia Bajada-Gardian, Mona Mock and Patricia Carlota (links below for further information).

The venue is the gorgeous Blissland, run very lovingly by the amazing Dawn and Lionel Cox. It's such a beautiful venue, high up on the hills near Congleton. It has lovely features such as the magical gardens, the love pond, the amazing pods (gorgeous intimate spaces), and the barn, from whose windows you can see out across the hills as you relax into your yoga stretches).

The schedule of events is planned as follows:
10:00-10:25 Greeting and introductions - a little hello time :-)
10:30-11:30 Guided meditation (by Martyn) punctuated by deep gong rumblings, creating a space in you for silence, balance, perspective and joy. This is taking place in one of the very funky hemispherical pods and will be a great preparation for the rest of the day.
11:00-11:15 Short break.
11:15-12:30 Himalayan singing bowls and gentle yoga (by Szilvia), creating clarity, space and opening the mind, body, emotions and spirit.
12:30-13:15 Lunch (please can everyone bring a little vegetarian food to be shared with the group - no need to bring more than one person's worth)
13:15-15:15 Oh-so-long, oh-so-deep gong bath immersion (by Martyn, Patricia and Mona) - a remarkable opportunity to come to know the incredible being that you are at your core... where we are all one and the same..... that creative, playful being of light... where the majesty of the gong is our own shared self.
15:15-15:30 Short break
15:30-16:00 Walking mindfully in the Ley Line Labyrinth (or indoors if raining) with the ambient sounds of a variety of healing instruments
16:00-16:30 The Great Gong Wave - together we will create a 'Mexican Wave' style gong vortex (just for fun) - everyone will have the opportunity to take a mallet and (with guidance and instruction) use a simple technique to gently bring forth some wonderful sounds and vibrations from these gorgeous instruments.
16:30-17:00 Drinking tea and sharing - a relaxed and pleasant moment, coming together, offering up our experiences of the day.
17:00 Home time :-)

Please note: we are asking that everyone bring a little vegetarian food (only enough to feed one person) so that, without being wasteful, we can share in and enjoy lots of different offerings.

Also, there is plenty of parking at Blissland. If coming by train, please communicate with us well in advance and we should be able to come and pick you up from the station:-)

Mona Mock - http://www.soundinterventions.uk/
Patricia Carlota - http://www.sonicsoul.uk/
Blissland - http://blissland.co.uk/, postcode is CW12 3NA

Directions to Blissland/Heather Bank Farm.
The full address is:
Heather Bank Farm. Congleton Edge, Congleton, Cheshire CW12 3NA.
Sat Navs don’t work well for the postcode so if you need to use one put in Congleton Train station first, then when you get there put in the postcode for the farm or you’ll end up in a muddy field.
Without a sat nav try this:
Heading out of Congleton towards Biddulph, past the train station and past the golf club on your left hand side.
Carry straight on through the crossroads with the church on your left and you should see a small white sign saying Mossley CP School.
Turn at this sign and then immediately left into Congleton Edge Road, carry on up the hill for a good half mile until you see a green bear.
Yes a green bear, this is the entrance to the farm, it's a sharp left turn in, go straight past the house through the open gate into Blissland. Drive right through and there is a car park at the end.
There. :-)

Much love, Martyn and the gang :-)

How to book: If you have any questions, or want to book  with us directly  please contact Sam (sam_hyder@hotmail.co.uk | 07787 291529).

We are delighted to welcome you to our third all night Gong Puja which we have dedicated to welcoming SPRING let's clear some stagnant energies, recharge and refresh ourselves now that Spring has finally sprung! This event will take place on Saturday 13th May from 8pm when the doors open…the Puja itself will be from 9pm-7am…we will finish by circa 8am on Sunday 14th May…please see timings below for more detailed information.

We will be holding this event at The Guide Hut in Lowndes Park, Bury Lane, Chesham. The Guide Hut is situated in the beautiful surrounds of Lowndes Park, we are right in the heart of the Chilterns in Chesham, with lots of lovely walks in the surrounding areas if you want to spend some time exploring.

We are also conveniently located at the end of the Metropolitan Line, making it accessible for those of you who live in London and the surrounding areas to join us. You can also take the Chiltern train line from Marylebone Station and change at either Chalfont & Latimer to Aylesbury and wait for a Chesham tube which run every 30 mins or go to Amersham and get a bus or taxi to Chesham.

What is a Gong Puja? The Gong Puja is a celebration and sound meditation, originated by Grand Gongmaster, Don Conreaux in 2000. The Gong Puja experience lasts around 10 hours.

You will be immersed in the sound waves of the gongs, and as these vibrations wash over you they give space and opportunity to release tensions and blocks, and induce a deep state of relaxation, emerging feeling re-energised. The harmony created by the gong tones brings about an inner stillness where deep healing can occur.

The gongs will be played by different gong players throughout the night and early morning whilst guests sleep/meditate bathed in the healing vibrations of the gongs. A sign-up sheet for players to select their time slots will be available on the night. In the early morning, the gongs will go silent and the Puja will end. Rising in your own time after sunrise, you will have the opportunity to freshen up in preparation for breakfast before returning to the Puja space where the group will review their experiences.

Guest Players: I am delighted to be joined by some of my fellow gong practitioners Patricia Carlota, Mona Rujis and Martyn Cawthorne* who will be playing the gongs with us at this event. Patricia and Mona facilitate regular gong bath sessions in London (and Patricia also hosts sessions in Brighton), and Martyn holds regular sessions across Manchester, as well as co-facilitating our fully accredited Gong Soundsmith Training (therapist level) with myself here in Chesham. Fellow Gong Practitioner Mona (Sound Interventions) and I are collaborating with 'The London Buddhist Arts Centre' on the second and forth Friday of each month to offer Gong Baths to the local community-

For those who are interested in experiencing sound for the purposes of deep relaxation, meditation and general well-being.

DESCRIPTION

'SonicSoul' & 'Sound Interventions' facilitates a 75-minute sound immersion with their 5 Gongs and other therapeutic instruments including himalayan singing bowls, a shruti box, bells, a frame drum, koshi wind chimes, cactus rainsticks, nutshell shakers, tingshaw bells, Peruvian rattles, croaking frog güiro's, cabasa's, power chimes, kalimba's, a sansula, and bamboo leaf rattles.

Guests will be invited to lay down on mats, close their eyes, and experience deep listening as they are saturated and cocooned in sounds. 'SonicSoul' & 'Sound Interventions' will endeavour to deliver sound frequencies to the human body through the ears and directly through the skin, as a sound massage.

*The Gongs will be set up by each sound practitioner specifically to create Gong-Surround-Sound, as they attempt to entrain the left and right hemispheres of your brain.

The session starts at 19:45 but please arrive at 19:30 to settle in.

Places are limited, and the choice of mats/proximity to the gongs and instruments is on a first-come first-serve basis.

London: Yoga Nidra & Gong Bath with Paula Hines @reCentre Health in Balham

How to book: Please book via reCentre's website here

Join Paula Hines and I for an afternoon of deep relaxation for both body and mind.

The first part of this workshop is a Yoga Nidra session led by Paula . Yoga Nidra ('Yogic Sleep') is a guided meditation that will bring you to the edge of sleep, quietening mental chatter, promoting deep relaxation for the body and mind - ready for a blissful Gong Bath.

Following a short tea break, the second part of the workshop will commence with a glorious gong bath with Patricia.

A Gong Bath is a form of Sound Therapy where the Gong and other therapeutic instruments are played to induce relaxation, meditation and general well being. The term 'bath' signifies being bathed in sound waves. Participants are invited to lie down comfortably on a yoga mat, close their eyes and experience a deep listening experience as they are enveloped by the sounds of the Gong, Singing Bowls, Chimes, Bells, Rattles, and Shakers.

The practice provides a space to re-generate, re-nourish, and re-set your whole being - mind, body, emotions, soul, and energy field.

London: Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Gong Bath workshop with Paula Hines at Embody Wellness

London: Rebirthing Breathwork with Gongs

HOW TO BOOK:  https://billetto.co.uk/en/e/rebirthing-breathwork-with-gong-tickets-184221

Price: Early Bird £55 (plus Billetto fee) / General Admission £45 (plus Billetto fee)

DESCRIPTION:

Rebirthing with Gongs was first developed two years ago by Purnima in a work partnership with Brazilian Sound Therapist Susan Manjula.

Brought to the UK in 2016, this project is an initiative of Rebirthing Club of London and SonicSoul, and aims to offer a new wave of Conscious Breath Therapy and Sound Therapy in group sessions.

Rebirthing - Conscious Breathing is a breathwork therapy that can revitalise and rejuvenate the body, refresh the mind, delight the soul, and enliven our actions and relationships.

The Gong is a musical percussion instrument of ancient origins used in Sound Therapy. Known as the sound of total resonance, the gong is played with the intention of bringing people into a state of harmony. Its frequencies and resonance can quieten the mind, relax the physical body, release emotional blockages, and cleanse the energetic field.

Together, these two terapies, potentialise the benefits of a session. The Rebirthing promotes an expansion and the Gongs helps to dissolve resistance.

The session starts at 3pm. Please arrive 5 minutes before. Thank you.

The workshop includes:
-An induction section where you learn the breathing technique of Rebirthing Breathwork, and are introduced to the sounds of the gong.

-A 90 minutes practice section. You lay down on a comfortable mat ready to begin practice. In the beginning of the session, the Rebirthing Breathwork is accompanied by recorded music. The gong will come in at a specific point in the practice, when most resistance is met.

-A sharing and feedback section with snacks and a cup of tea.
